Vaessen-Schoemaker was founded by mr. Vaessen and mr. Schoemaker. It is an independent, family owned company located in Deventer, the Netherlands, which started in 1946. In the 1950's, it patented the use of polyphosphates in cooked meat products. These patents resulted into a network of international licenses and distributors. Based on nearly 60 years of international experience and continuous research, we know all about single ingredients, combinations of those ingredients and their functionality in your products under your processing conditions. In the early days, the company's activities expanded in many different, entrepreneurial directions. Vaessen-Schoemaker's manufacturing portfolio has included diversities such as rotational moulding, surf boards, artificial and natural (laminated) casings, vacuum packaging equipment, printing and functional food additives. Anticipating international market developments, Vaessen-Schoemaker decided to focus, and specialize in its expert core business: development, production and sales of the best possible functional products for the meat and fish processing, snack and convenience industry. Our company moved in 2000 into a newly build production plant and offices. In these new and modern facilities we were able to further grow our business. Continuous investment has resulted in modern and state of the art production facilities. Our in-house pilot plant is fully equipped with the most modern meat processing machinery such as a multi-needle injector, bowl chopper, grinder, tumbling equipment, cooking/smoking cabinet, auto-clave etc. Furthermore, our in-house laboratory will provide solid data to support further development of our products and it wil ensure its consistent quality. |
